The period of protection for vines, forest trees, fruit trees and ornamental trees shall be twenty years and that for other plants shall be fifteen years from the date of grant. A variety right owner shall begin to pay the annual fee from the same year the variety right is granted and shall, in accordance with the requirement of the examination and approval authorities, provide the propagating material of the granted variety for use in testing.
