| China is an ancient civilization with a long history, possessing not only a large amount of tangible cultural heritages, but also abundant intangible cultural heritages. Since both the CPC and the Chinese government always attach great importance to the protection of cultural heritages and the publicity of excellent traditional culture, remarkable achievements have been gained through continuous efforts. However, as the globalization is speeding up and the social economy is soaring, the survival, protection and development of ICH in China are facing rigorous circumstances and various newly-emerging problems. To carry out the spirits of supporting the protection of important cultural heritages and fine folk arts of the 16th National Congress of the CPC and to fulfill the commitment of entry into the UNESCO' s Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, China will further strengthen the protection on intangible cultural heritages. |
