Chongqing motorcycle industry has 9215 patents at present, accounting for 33.51% of total amount of the domestic motorcycle industry, and absolutely is the "boss" in the whole country. However the invention patents in core fields are only 15, less than 0.1% of the total.

Motorcycle industry is a pillar industry in Chongqing, Chongqing motorcycle industry has currently applied for a cumulative total of 9215 patents, ranking first in the country, higher than half of Guangdong Province which is the second.

"But these patents including only 131 pieces of valued invention patents, the invention patents from the core fields of engine and control technology are only 15," analyzed related professionals.
